Description
This project addresses the issue of current and voltage distortion caused by nonlinear loads in power electrical systems, a problem exacerbated in Ecuador by the adoption of 220Vca induction cooking systems. The main objective is to design and implement an active filter for two-phase networks to mitigate these harmonics, ensuring Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) levels remain within standardized values, explicitly considering both phases and the neutral conductor. The methodology involves an exhaustive literature review of standards and filtering technologies. Subsequently, the assembly of the two-phase filter prototype and the detailed design of the acquisition, driver, and control boards will proceed. Validation will be conducted through experimental tests in specialized laboratories, where the performance of the developed hardware and software will be evaluated, including the comparison of different control strategies. Finally, documentation and the filing of a patent application for the developed technology are planned.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To develop an active filter for harmonic elimination in a residential two-phase electrical system, incorporating the neutral line, and to test various control methods applied to the developed filter.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Optimization and innovation of energy and renewable energies
