Description

This research project addresses the existing disconnect between academic training in Law at higher education institutions in Ecuador and the real demands of the labor market and society. Given a constantly changing legal environment, it is imperative to evaluate whether current programs provide the necessary competencies to solve contemporary problems, such as the administration of justice, the fight against corruption, and the protection of human rights. The methodology used is mixed-methods, integrating an exhaustive literature review, analysis of educational programs, and the collection of qualitative and quantitative data through interviews with experts and sector stakeholders. The study seeks to transcend traditional approaches, promoting more analytical, critical, and specialized training. As a result, it is expected to generate a solid body of knowledge that allows for the reformulation of curricular designs, raising educational quality and ensuring that future legal professionals are prepared to face the challenges of the Ecuadorian context. The expected impact ranges from improving the employability of graduates to strengthening the rule of law and social justice in the country.

Goal:
To investigate the needs of higher education in the legal field in Ecuador to align professional training with the country's legal, social, and economic demands.
