Minkatransmedia: Digital art and communication platform for constructing collective memory about social mobilization

The #MinkaTransmedia project addresses the polarization and the dispute over meaning that emerged during the June 2022 national strike in Ecuador. Given the ephemeral nature of digital archives and the hegemony of official narratives, this research, development, and innovation (R&D&i) initiative seeks to recover and systematize archives and testimonies from diverse social actors, including the indigenous movement (CONAIE). The solution consists of developing an interactive transmedia digital platform that compiles media and artistic records of the mobilization. This device will serve not only as a repository but as a collective memory tool that allows for contrasting official narratives with subaltern voices, highlighting power tensions and human rights violations that occurred during the conflict. Beyond the technological component, the project includes a media literacy guide with an intercultural and gender perspective. This edu-communicative resource is designed for the academic community and social organizations, promoting critical media consumption and strengthening awareness of human rights and democracy in the country.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Promote the construction of a collective memory regarding the June 2022 national strike in Ecuador by systematizing archives and testimonies into an interactive transmedia product.
