Master Classes at UPS: Integrating Sciences, Language, and Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project aims to optimize the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana's (UPS) capacity to fulfill its multiple mandates: delivering high-quality professional training, fostering scientific research and innovation, and maintaining its social commitment to caring for the poor and the environment. Currently, faculty members face significant time constraints due to the need for doctoral training and the administrative burden associated with managing information required for continuous accreditation. The proposed solution involves adapting and implementing pedagogical strategies proven in world-class institutions, tailoring them to the specific context of the UPS. This approach seeks to make the university's ambitious goals more attainable, ensuring that academic excellence and institutional ethos are not compromised by operational and time constraints faced by teaching staff.

Goal:
Adapt teaching strategies used in top global universities to the specific environment, reality, and distinctive ethos of the UPS, aiming to enhance professional training, research, and the institution's social impact.

Research lines:
Didactics and alternative learning methodologies
