Project Details
Description
This project focuses on evaluating the productive management and export performance of agro-technology Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) located in Pichincha. The study addresses the low participation of these companies in international trade, evidenced by previous research indicating that only a small percentage of total export sales corresponds to exporting SMEs. The main objective is to identify barriers and opportunities to increase their involvement in regional and international trade, recognizing the growing need to generate comparative advantages due to global quality standards and high competition. The proposed methodology combines literature review with the practical application of administrative tools, such as the McKinsey 7S model, through on-site visits and interviews with key SME stakeholders. The goal is to develop an ideal procedure to capture and shape knowledge, allowing for the suggestion of concrete and flexible lines of action that improve these companies' performance in external markets, ensuring the validity and feasibility of the proposed solutions.

Goal:
To analyze the productive management of agro-technology SMEs in Pichincha and their degree of participation in the international market over the last three years, in order to propose strategies to strengthen their exports.

Research lines:
Organization of production and technological innovation
