Isolation of Actinomycetes Microorganisms with the Capacity to Biotransform Steroids

Project Details

Description

General objective Isolate microorganisms that have the ability to biotransform bile acids. Justification These environments are conducive to the growth of microorganisms, which have the ability to survive in environments in which there is a presence of bile acids, which can be evaluated in their ability to biotransform cholic and chenodeoxycholic acids into ursodeoxycholic acid; or also act on the by-products generated and that are waste in the production process of ursodeoxycholic acid, such as Hyodeoxycholic acid and Deoxycholic acid obtained from suine and bovine bile, respectively.
