Description

General objective Analyze intercultural relations in the current Guayaquil context from an interdisciplinary approach. Justification This project aims to contribute, from the field of communication, to the process of recognition and intercultural relations in Ecuador, particularly in the city of Guayaquil. As theoretical and practical studies, they propose to contribute, from an interdisciplinary perspective, to broaden the existing knowledge about interculturality in Ecuador and Guayaquil, once this purpose has been completed. In the current context of the region, and even from the international level, the problem of intercultural relations must be treated with greater intentionality. The perennial appearance of news and reports in the media showing the exacerbation of xenophobic, homophobic, sexist acts, of religious extremism, the flourishing of "racist attitudes", among others; These are examples that justify research like these and that show the relevance of such studies where intolerance towards the "other" becomes more evident. These reasons cause the double projection of the research, on the one hand the analysis of intercultural relations in general in Guayaquil society and on the other, the echoes of this phenomenon in primary and secondary education in the city.
