Project Details
Description
This multidisciplinary research project aims to address the existing knowledge gap regarding how occupational guidance influences the labor market insertion of people with visual disabilities (PVD). The central problem lies in the additional barriers PVD face when exploring career options and accessing suitable job opportunities. The proposed solution involves exploring the influence of occupational guidance, considered a valuable tool for identifying unique strengths and skills, which is crucial for professional success and entrepreneurship. The methodology will unfold in three stages: a review of the state of the art (historical-descriptive method), data collection through surveys administered to at least 80 PVD (experimental method), and an analytical-synthetic analysis of the results. The project expects to identify the main workplace challenges and the most effective methodological strategies for developing labor competencies in PVD. Expected outcomes include the publication of a scientific article indexed in Scopus and the provision of valuable information to improve occupational guidance services, thereby promoting labor inclusion, equity, and the development of effective public policies for this population group.

Goal:
To analyze the effectiveness of occupational guidance as a strategy to improve the employability and quality of life of people with visual disabilities for their insertion into the labor market.

Research lines:
Inclusive education, policies, culture and practices
