This research project focuses on the development and evaluation of natural cosmetic products, specifically creams and serums, formulated with essential oils from Aristeguietia glutinosa (Matico) and Ocotea quixos (Ishpingo), native plants recognized for their antioxidant, healing, and regenerative properties. Given the growing natural cosmetics market, the study addresses the need to offer products that are not only perceived as safe but also demonstrate scientifically proven efficacy and stability. The methodology involves formulating emulsions and evaluating in vivo cosmetic efficacy on volunteers, measuring skin elasticity and firmness using a dermatological cutometer over 28 days. Furthermore, dermal irritation tests will be conducted following official standards, alongside sensory acceptance testing using the hedonic scale. To ensure final product quality, an accelerated stability study (4x4 factorial design) will be implemented, assessing organoleptic, physicochemical (pH, viscosity, antioxidant capacity), and microbiological characteristics (aerobic counts, molds, and yeasts) over 90 days in acrylic and glass packaging.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To evaluate the in vivo cosmetic efficacy and the physicochemical and microbiological stability of cosmetic formulations prepared with essential oils extracted from Aristeguietia glutinosa (Matico) and Ocotea quixos (Ishpingo).
