Implementation of an Information Society Observatory: Pilot Project Salesian Polytechnic University, Cuenca Campus

Project Details

Description

This project focuses on implementing an Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Observatory to address the lack of a centralized platform for measuring technology access nationally and locally. Recognizing various existing global and national models, the proposed solution involves developing an observatory utilizing IT tools based on a model tailored to the local context. The primary goal is to evaluate ICT access levels and their influence on citizens, decentralized autonomous governments, and both the public and private sectors. The updated information produced by this observatory will serve as a crucial foundation for formulating and implementing strategic solutions aimed at improving ICT access and connectivity, thereby actively contributing to the development of the information society.

Goal:
To implement an Observatory for Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), based on a specific model, to systematically evaluate ICT access across society and its various sectors.

Research lines:
Cloud Computing
