The project establishes the Loja Environmental Quality and Vulnerability Observatory, a technical and scientific platform designed for the systematic monitoring of the Zamora River basin and the urban environment. Faced with urban growth and climate challenges, this initiative addresses the critical need for reliable information for natural resource management and risk reduction. The methodology integrates physical-chemical and microbiological water analysis, noise pollution assessment, sediment studies, and solid waste management. Additionally, an Urban Vulnerability Index (UVI) will be implemented to identify flood-prone areas using a multidimensional and participatory approach. Expected impacts include the democratization of scientific knowledge through inclusive communication strategies, technical support for local public policies, and the promotion of a circular economy. By providing georeferenced and transparent data, the observatory serves as a key tool for sustainable urban planning and climate resilience in the region.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Implement an Environmental Quality and Vulnerability Observatory in Loja to monitor environmental and social parameters, facilitating evidence-based decision-making.
