This project focuses on the practical implementation of assistive technologies, serving as the next phase following the preliminary analysis of the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor. The main objective is to develop a functional solution to assist individuals with physical disabilities or temporary limitations within their home environment. It addresses the need for natural and intuitive interaction with technological devices, eliminating reliance on traditional remote controls or peripherals. The solution is based on utilizing the Kinect sensor to capture body gestures and movements as the control method. The methodology involved an exhaustive review of scientific literature, compilation, and analysis of data obtained through image acquisition and processing tests using the Kinect Software Development Kit (SDK).
