Description
This project addresses the necessity for new optical access technologies driven by the exponential increase in bandwidth demand from network applications and the IPv6 protocol. The core objective is the design and implementation of a next-generation access optical network utilizing UDWDM PON (Ultra-Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network) technology, incorporating advanced coherent transmission techniques. The methodology begins with an exhaustive state-of-the-art investigation through the analysis of scientific literature in databases such as ScienceDirect and IEEE Xplorer. The gathered information will be used to develop models that will subsequently be implemented and validated using specialized simulation software for fiber optic networks.
