Hospital and Surgical Systems for Mobile Units for the Care of Disadvantaged Populations: Cinterandes Foundation Pilot Plan

This project addresses the critical need to modernize health information management, particularly for organizations like the Fundación Cinterandes conducting Mobile Surgery in remote areas, where paper documentation is arduous and complex. The primary goal is to transition from paper-based medical records to a digital platform enabling immediate storage, processing, and access to vital data for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making. The proposed solution involves designing and implementing a computer system dedicated to managing medical records and operative registries. The development will be based on the Waterfall methodology, ensuring a systematic and sequential approach that includes rigorous phases of requirements analysis, system and program design, coding, exhaustive testing, and continuous maintenance. This technological transition aims not only to optimize internal management and statistical analysis for the institution but also to align with WHO recommendations regarding the potential of ICTs to improve the efficiency and access to healthcare, especially for vulnerable populations.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To design, develop, and implement a robust computer system for the efficient management of medical records and pre/post-operative registries, thereby improving access to and the quality of health information.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Computer systems and artificial intelligence
