Description

This project focuses on investigating the application, scope, and limitations of Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) in fields traditionally dominated by quantitative approaches, such as Software Development, Information Systems, and Information Technologies (IT). Although QDA is a well-established topic in Social Sciences, its implementation and associated challenges within Engineering present significant hurdles. The methodology involves a comparative analysis of two approaches: a standard methodology for data collection, analysis, and processing, and a specific methodology for QDA in software development, namely Grounded Theory. The ultimate goal is to synthesize these findings to generate a novel hybrid methodology applicable to the technology sector. The consolidated results of this research will be formalized and presented in a scientific article intended for publication in a Scopus-indexed journal, thereby contributing to the body of knowledge at the intersection of engineering and applied social sciences.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To study the scope and limitations of Qualitative Data Analysis within the context of Software Development, Information Systems, and Information Technologies.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Data science and simulation
