Description
This project aims to enhance the educational processes at the Salesian Polytechnic University by applying the constructivist learning method, allowing students to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge in Automotive Engineering. The main goal is the construction of a Karting prototype, familiarizing participants with professional life and various engineering areas. The methodology begins with studying the regulations set by the International Karting Commission (CIK-FIA), followed by design, material selection, and construction processes, including machining (SAV-CAV). Subsequently, the chassis is assembled with the engine and critical subsystems such as translation, steering, brakes, and the powertrain. The prototype will be tuned and validated in the "Copa de Karting Novacero" competition. The cycle concludes with continuous improvement and optimization of the prototypes for future races and the final publication of the results achieved.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To establish a knowledge-building process based on practical experiences to integrate the theoretical-practical concepts of Automotive Engineering through the design, construction, and testing of a Karting prototype.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Transportation and mobility
