This project addresses the growing problem of vehicle traffic in Cuenca, where the vehicle growth rate (8% annually) significantly surpasses the population growth rate (1.8% annually), threatening to exceed the number of inhabitants. Current vehicle occupancy is low (1.1 persons per vehicle), and space dedicated to alternative systems is insufficient. The main objective is to evaluate the viability of implementing and expanding alternative mobility methods, such as bicycles and electric scooters, to mitigate congestion and pollution. The methodology employed is a comprehensive feasibility assessment that includes market, technical, economic, social, and environmental studies. Inductive and deductive methods will be used to analyze specific cases and local regulations, complemented by synthetic and analytical analysis to integrate diverse variables. The project is based on the global trend toward sustainable mobility, aiming to overcome the myth that Andean topography is an impediment, and promoting cities designed for the quality of life of all users, not just private automobiles.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To evaluate the feasibility and effects of using alternative mobility methods in the city of Cuenca, analyzing their potential impact against vehicle growth and the need to improve urban quality of life.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Transportation and mobility
