This project addresses the growing problem of vehicle traffic in Cuenca, where the vehicle growth rate (8% annually) significantly surpasses the population growth rate (1.8% annually), threatening to exceed the number of inhabitants. Current vehicle occupancy is low (1.1 persons per vehicle), and space dedicated to alternative systems is insufficient. The main objective is to evaluate the viability of implementing and expanding alternative mobility methods, such as bicycles and electric scooters, to mitigate congestion and pollution. The methodology employed is a comprehensive feasibility assessment that includes market, technical, economic, social, and environmental studies. Inductive and deductive methods will be used to analyze specific cases and local regulations, complemented by synthetic and analytical analysis to integrate diverse variables.
