Description

This project focuses on the first phase of a broader initiative aimed at transforming the Centenario Campus of the Salesian Polytechnic University into a model of energy sustainability. The primary objective is to conduct a detailed diagnosis of the current interior lighting situation through a lighting audit. The methodology involves quantitative measurements of illuminance levels using flux meters and precise dimensional data collection via flexible tapes and laser distance meters. Subsequently, the most suitable LED luminaires will be selected using a multi-criteria decision-making method. These selections will be validated through simulations using Dialux software to ensure compliance with current national and international standards. The final output is a proposed improvement plan that includes a guide or schedule for the phased replacement of existing fluorescent fixtures with LED technology, estimating the potential energy savings this modernization would represent for the institution.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To develop a comprehensive lighting audit and propose specific improvements for the interior lighting system at the Centenario Campus of the Salesian Polytechnic University to significantly reduce energy consumption.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Energy efficiency and environmental pollution
