This project addresses the need to modernize SME management in Cuenca, Ecuador, by integrating agile methodologies, mathematical models, and quantitative techniques to foster local development aligned with the smart city concept. Given the complexity of integrating emerging technologies into urban environments and the lack of interoperability, the research proposes a systematic approach that includes territorial diagnosis, data-driven hypothesis formulation, and experimentation through technological prototypes.
The core problem lies in the traditional application of project management, which often ignores the specificities of SMEs and their impact on local development. The proposed solution uses tools such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve decision-making, reduce financial risks, and optimize resource allocation.
The expected results are intended to contribute to operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and the improvement of urban services.
