Description

This project focuses on the development and implementation of a cross-platform middleware designed for the centralized management of Internet of Things (IoT) devices operating under various communication protocols, including LoRaWAN, MQTT, and HTTP, along with mobile support. The problem addressed is the lack of a unified management and administration system in Ecuador for IoT devices implemented by companies, which prevents clients from accessing data and visualizing it on a dashboard for decision-making. The proposed solution involves developing this Middleware platform in collaboration with the private company TelecomAustro Cia. Ltda., which seeks a multi-company and multi-user solution to manage its IoT devices. The project includes analyzing the state of the art, gathering requirements for the back-end and front-end, developing the middleware and the user interface (Front-End), and conducting thorough testing. The main expected outcome is an operational web platform and mobile application, in addition to publishing an indexed scientific article in Scopus or higher, contributing to the digitalization and improvement of productive processes in sectors such as industry and public services.

Goal:
To develop and implement a cross-platform middleware for LoRaWAN, MQTT, HTTP, and Mobile networks, in order to manage smart devices from different brands and communication protocols.

Research lines:
Cloud Computing
