Detection of Risk and Protection Factors Associated with the Prediction of the Consumption of Licit and Illicit Substances of a Private University in Quito - Ecuador

This project aims to evaluate the risk and protection factors associated with the consumption of legal and illegal substances among students at a private university in Quito, Ecuador. It will identify individual, family, and social factors, determine the prevalence of risk factors, and describe protection factors. The research employs a quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive approach with non-probabilistic sampling. Data will be collected through surveys and analyzed to inform public health policies and prevention strategies. The project involves collaboration with the Secretariat of Health of the Municipality of Quito and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly health and well-being and quality education.

Goals:
Evaluate the risk and protection factors associated with the prediction of licit and illicit substance use in students of a private university in Quito - Ecuador.
Determine the individual, family, and social risk and protection factors that are associated with the prediction of licit and illicit substance use.
Identify the prevalence of risk factors related to licit and illicit substance use.
Describe protection factors as preventive agents of licit and illicit substance use.
