Project Details
Description
This project addresses the need for sustainable distilled water supply for the Center for Research and Valuation of Biodiversity (CIVABI), mitigating reliance on conventional, increasingly costly electrical energy. The core problem is the high demand for distilled water, crucial for experiments free from mineral and microorganism interference, set against the backdrop of global fossil fuel depletion. The proposed solution involves designing and constructing a prototype solar-powered water distiller, leveraging a renewable and viable energy source. The methodology is quantitative, incorporating exploratory phases for literature review and establishing a robust theoretical framework. The central hypothesis posits that solar energy will not only substitute but surpass the benefits of electrical energy in the distillation process. The research design includes variable operationalization, sample selection, and the application of techniques such as observation and interviews to validate the process. The expected final outcome is the implementation of a functional system ensuring a constant supply of distilled water, thereby promoting energy sustainability in CIVABI's research activities.

Goal:
To design and construct a prototype water distiller utilizing solar energy to meet the needs of the Center for Research and Valuation of Biodiversity (CIVABI) at the Salesian Polytechnic University.

Research lines:
nan
