Description

General objective Implement a demand response system in a Home Area Network (HAN) in order to optimize energy consumption in the residential sector. Justification Demand Response (DR) is an important resource that allows lowering electricity consumption when the system is stressed, or with the aim of minimizing electricity costs both from the point of view of the customer and the electricity distribution company. Active participation of the final consumer is required as one of the key objectives of Smart Grid. For this reason, it is essential to have alternatives in software and hardware that maintain a compatible architecture, and allow to optimize the consumption of electrical energy through a HAN, that adapts to the tariff system and distribution system of Ecuador.
