Description

This research project focuses on the comprehensive analysis of the current landscape of Qualitative Research (QR) within the Latin American university context. The primary goal is to evaluate existing characteristics, identify future perspectives, and formulate concrete strategies for strengthening this methodology across the region. The methodology combines a systematic literature review, which will include a comparative study across Latin American countries to generate systematic and descriptive knowledge about specific strategies and methodologies. Furthermore, to understand the reception and practices of QR, the Delphi method will be implemented through consultation with regional experts. This approach will be complemented by semi-structured interviews (in-depth interviews). The analysis of qualitative data obtained from the interviews will be conducted using Content Analysis, employing a Grounded Theory strategy supported by specialized qualitative analysis software.

Goal:
Critically determine the characteristics of the current state, future perspectives, and propose strategies for strengthening Qualitative Research within Latin American universities.

Research lines:
Research Competencies and Teaching Practice in Higher Education
