Corporate Governance and Sustainability (GOBCORP): Integration of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Strategies for a Sustainable Company

The GOBCORP project addresses the critical need to integrate corporate governance with business sustainability strategies. Despite the theoretical importance of both concepts, there is an empirical gap regarding how management practices in governing bodies affect long-term financial, social, and environmental sustainability. The research seeks to bridge this gap by designing a theoretical model based on empirical evidence. The methodological approach is divided into three phases: an initial diagnosis of the current situation using qualitative tools, the determination of sustainability strategies validated by focus groups, and the identification of control mechanisms and KPIs to measure progress. This process ensures the validity and reliability of the results obtained. The expected impact includes strengthening stakeholder trust, reducing business risks, and improving operational efficiency.
