ContexStories: A cloud-based platform based on semantics for contextual knowledge about history and cultural heritage

This project addresses the need to adapt education for digital natives who constantly interact with technological environments and complex knowledge networks. The main challenge is transforming the vast, interconnected information available on the web (such as Wikipedia or social media) into structured and personalized educational content. The proposed solution involves developing an educational gamification platform that utilizes Semantic Web principles and digital narrative. The methodology includes exploratory studies on these technologies, correlational studies to validate the importance of knowledge networks represented by ontologies, and experimental studies to measure the positive impact of gamification on learning. The project builds upon the existing WikiDatUPS tool to generate three prototypes with distinct approaches, aiming to enhance knowledge acquisition in subjects like History and Geography within academic and cultural settings.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To create a new educational gamification platform that leverages the potential of digital narrative through Semantic Web technologies, developing three distinct prototypes based on the existing tool, WikiDatUPS.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Cloud Computing
