Project Details

Description

This qualitative research project addresses the need to systematize humanist thought within the context of the paradigmatic ruptures of the 20th and 21st centuries, marked by critiques of traditional metaphysics and morality (exemplified by Marx and Nietzsche). The study seeks to counteract positivist, scientistic, and structuralist tendencies that have led to an apparent renunciation of the humanistic anthropological purpose following events like the World Wars. The methodology employs rigorous content analysis and a hermeneutic approach to contemporary philosophical texts, utilizing theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis, historical-logical correlation, and the dialectical method. The process involves a general theoretical study of contemporary humanism, analysis of its historical-theoretical context, and examination of its reception by various schools of thought (personalist, Marxist, existentialist, phenomenological, and Christian). The ultimate goal is to precisely define the qualities characterizing the socio-philosophical dimension of humanism in the thought of the 20th and early 21st centuries, maintaining fidelity to the evidence found and avoiding ideological biases.

Goal:
To systematize humanist thought based on the rigorous analysis of contemporary philosophical texts that address fundamental conceptions of humanity, thought, and society.

Research lines:
Philosophical and theological thought
