Configuration of Social Expectations of Youth Regarding the Ecuadorian Political System: Analysis of the 2006-2012 Period

This qualitative research project aims to generate an analytical theoretical model to explain how young people's social expectations are configured in relation to the political system during a period of democratic transition. The study focuses not only on the content of future aspirations but crucially on the 'how' these expectations are formed, situating the analysis within participants' life trajectories and specific social practices. The methodology prioritizes a sustained process of data co-production through detailed dialogue with young people involved in various forms of associative participation. It is recognized that expectation configuration operates across the temporal axes of present, past, and future, and that political participation practices are the fundamental means to record and understand these projections. Unlike predominant quantitative studies, this qualitative approach seeks intersubjective recognition and cultural difference through dialogue, allowing for the recording of how expectations are constructed as a temporal form linked to the reflexive consciousness and concrete actions of the subjects.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>The main objective is to understand the process by which young people form expectations regarding the State as a political system, analyzing their specific social practices, including participation in various associative forms, within the context of Ecuador's democratic transition.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>nan
