Project Details
Description
This research project addresses the need to systematize and strengthen University Social Responsibility (USR) within the Pedagogy Career at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS), an institution committed to forming socially responsible citizens, aligning with its mission and the National Plan for Good Living. Although UPS has experience in USR, mainly in community engagement, there is a lack of precise documentary evidence regarding its implementation in Pedagogy teaching, a key career due to its role as a "trainer of trainers." The main objective is to diagnose the conceptual approaches and compliance levels of USR in teaching practices, identifying actions executed by academic and management staff. The methodology will use a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) and a descriptive scope. Techniques such as document analysis, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and surveys directed at management and teaching staff will be employed. The expected outcomes aim to provide concrete recommendations to align theoretical guidelines and practices with USR principles, ensuring a multiplying impact on the training of future teachers and in line with national educational policies.

Goal:
To diagnose the conceptual approaches and compliance levels of University Social Responsibility (USR) within the teaching scope of the Pedagogy Career at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS), and to identify recommendations to strengthen its practical application.

Research lines:
Inclusive education, policies, culture and inclusive practices
