Community Intervention for the Development of Solidary Economy Ventures with Productive Associations in El Valle Parish, Cuenca-Ecuador

This project focuses on strengthening the capabilities of rural economic-productive associations in the El Valle parish, Cuenca, Ecuador, which are primarily engaged in organic micro-agricultural production. A preliminary diagnosis revealed significant deficiencies in key areas such as tax, accounting, legal, and financial management (profitability), as well as marketing and organizational strengthening. The organizations, composed of 90% women due to migration, face issues related to regulatory ignorance, lack of product differentiation against price competition, and weak teamwork. The methodology employed is Action Research, combining empirical diagnosis (surveys, interviews, focus groups) with theoretical methods (dialectical, inductive-deductive) and statistical analysis. The main goal is to implement practical improvements in management and agro-productive techniques to increase the added value of their organic products and facilitate access to fair markets, promoting sustainability and gender equity within a family farming context.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To contribute to the development of capabilities among beneficiaries for generating alternatives that add value to the products of economic-productive associations, thereby improving the utilization of national and international market opportunities through the application of management and agro-productive techniques, while respecting sustainable development and gender equity.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Local development, popular economy and popular finance
