Characterization of the Inclusion/Exclusion Process in University Students of the IUS Network

This research primarily aims to analyze the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion affecting young university students (aged 18-24) across five institutions belonging to the IUS Network (Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia, and El Salvador). Theoretically, the study seeks to empirically ground a multidimensional reading of educational inclusion/exclusion, addressing the paradox of a group that, while structurally excluded by age, is also the repository of societal hopes for change. The methodological approach involves conducting in-depth interviews with students to gather their direct experiences of inclusion/exclusion within the educational setting. These narratives will be analyzed to identify common and differentiating elements, ultimately aiming to generate a detailed cartography of youth inclusion/exclusion, revealing the 'social position' from which this phenomenon is experienced.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To understand the continuities and discontinuities of the structural and subjective dimensions of the inclusion/exclusion phenomenon within the educational sphere for young university students across five IUS Network universities in Latin America.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Educational policies, teacher training and interculturality
