Characterization of the compositional quality of goat milk (Capra hircus) in the province of Pichincha

This project focuses on the comprehensive evaluation of goat milk (Caprahircus) quality and its relationship with the administered diet. The methodology involves monthly bromatological analysis over four months of key feedstuffs: pasture, hay, and concentrate, determining parameters such as moisture, crude protein, crude fiber, and ether extract. Concurrently, monthly milk samples are collected, grouped by lactation thirds, to undergo detailed physicochemical laboratory analysis, including the measurement of protein, fat, lactose, total solids, non-fat solids, and milk urea nitrogen (MUN), utilizing equipment such as the MILKOSCAN. Laboratory and field data are integrated into a database for advanced statistical analysis, employing a multiple factor model (3x3x3 factorial DCAU), to establish significant correlations between urea, milk physicochemical composition, and lactation stage. Finally, the findings will be disseminated through indexed scientific publications and workshops aimed at producer guilds and dairy companies.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>The main objective is to analyze the compositional and nutritional quality of goat milk (Caprahircus) through comprehensive physicochemical analyses, correlating these results with the bromatological analysis of the feed consumed by the animals.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>animal biotechnology
