Building Narratives for Change: Networks between Feminist Researchers and Activists in Latin America (Phase 2)

This transdisciplinary research project, titled 'Crafting narratives for change', analyzes how social organizations and feminist movements in Ecuador and Bolivia advocate for sexual and reproductive rights. Given the persistent gaps in guaranteeing these rights, which disproportionately affect women and adolescents, the study seeks to identify critical bottlenecks, strengths, and weaknesses in their mobilization processes. The methodology is based on 'Narrative Productions', a qualitative approach that allows for the collaborative construction of knowledge between researchers and activists. The project integrates a comparative perspective by including the Swedish context, recognized for its advancements in public gender policies, facilitating an exchange of experiences that enriches advocacy strategies in the Andean region. The expected impact includes the production of indexed scientific articles and the strengthening of activism networks. By conceptualizing the defense of sexual and reproductive rights as a strategy for poverty alleviation and gender justice, the project contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting a life free from violence and greater well-being for women in Latin America.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Contribute to strengthening the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights by understanding social mobilization strategies in Ecuador and Bolivia, and analyzing gender policies in Sweden.
