This project addresses the deficit in socialization and communication skills observed in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a significant challenge for their social integration. Recognizing the potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in inclusion, the initiative proposes the design and implementation of an interactive system. The solution is based on utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Avatars as mediators for social practice. The methodology involves an exhaustive study of the state-of-the-art in support technologies for ASD, AI, and machine learning. Subsequently, the detailed design of the interaction system, implementation of interface applications, and rigorous functional testing with necessary adjustments will be carried out. The aim is to capitalize on the acceptance that individuals with autism show towards Virtual Agents to develop an innovative tool that improves their quality of life and fosters their social interaction.

Goal:
To design and implement a system utilizing Artificial Intelligence-powered Avatars to enhance the social skills of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
