Analysis of the Use of ICTs in Exporting Companies in Ecuador (UTECOMEX)

The UTECOMEX project, developed by the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, analyzes the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Ecuadorian export companies. Faced with globalization challenges, these companies require effective management of their production and traceability processes to ensure quality and transparency from production to final delivery. The research addresses barriers such as resistance to change, lack of training, and fear of technological investment. Through a mixed analytical approach (quantitative and qualitative), the team evaluates the feasibility of implementing solutions such as artificial intelligence and mobile applications. The study focuses on export companies in Guayas, El Oro, and Manabí, aiming to optimize logistics, reduce operating costs, and improve decision-making. Expected results include the publication of scientific articles and the creation of a strategic plan that allows Ecuadorian companies to adapt to international standards. The project's impact extends to operational efficiency, environmental sustainability through resource optimization, and strengthening the competitiveness of the export sector in the global market.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To propose ICT-based improvement strategies to optimize production process management and traceability in Ecuadorian export companies.
