This research project, developed by the GiAUTO group at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, focuses on the technical analysis of the state of charge (SOC) of the high-voltage battery in Toyota Corolla Hybrid vehicles. Given the growing popularity of hybrid vehicles, the study addresses critical challenges such as monitoring accuracy, the impact of driving conditions, and preventive maintenance to maximize energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint. The methodology combines real-time data analysis using automotive scanners and specialized applications with experimental tests on predefined urban routes in Quito, Ecuador. Factors such as temperature, driving style, and topography are evaluated to identify degradation patterns and optimize regenerative braking processes. The project results provide valuable information for researchers, automotive technicians, and owners, contributing to the improvement of hybrid technology and promoting more sustainable mobility.
