Analysis of Indicators and Proposal for Improvements in Societal Engagement at Co-financed Universities in Guayaquil City between 2011 and 2012

This project focuses on the exhaustive analysis of the factors determining the linkage of universities and polytechnic schools with society, a crucial aspect evaluated following the national accreditation process initiated in Ecuador in 2009. The main objective is to identify the social, cultural, productive, and technological dynamics that impact this relationship, aiming to ensure institutional quality and contribute to the comprehensive development of the country. The methodology combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, utilizing primary data collection through surveys, interviews, and direct observation in internship sites, companies, and the general community. Data collection instruments will be specifically designed to address the stated objectives and hypotheses. Fieldwork will be executed by a trained team of students. The expected outcome is the formulation of suggested indicators and practical solution alternatives to optimize the institutions' contribution to solving social problems and fostering community development.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To analyze the variables influencing the linkage with society in higher education institutions and propose concrete improvements through suggested indicators and solution alternatives based on institutional performance evaluation.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Social responsibility, redistribution of wealth and quality of life
