Description
This research project, in its fourth phase, focuses on the analysis of gene expression in biotic factors (plants, animals, and microorganisms) using the RT-qPCR technique. The main problem addressed is the low efficacy and limited yield in the production of compounds of biotechnological and agricultural interest, stemming from the lack of specific conditions for proper gene expression.
The proposed methodology includes RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis via reverse transcription, the development of standard calibration curves, and the quantification of gene expression using real-time PCR. This approach allows for the identification of optimal conditions for the efficient expression of genes of interest, thereby optimizing the production of biomass or specific metabolites.
The expected results include the validation of gene expression in various species, which will benefit researchers, industries, and farmers by providing technical tools to improve the sustainability and productivity of biological resources.
