Description

Justification One of the main ways to know and understand the impact that human activities have on these forests is to use indicator organisms, which must be sensitive to disturbances in the environment. Both amphibians and reptiles have highly specific habitat requirements and their composition and diversity change due to disturbances in the environment, for this reason the group of herpetofauna is frequently used to determine the conservation status of ecosystems.
