This research project fundamentally aims to improve teacher training in the Education careers at the Salesian Polytechnic University through an in-depth analysis of active strategies and critical pedagogy. A mixed-methods approach is adopted, prioritizing a qualitative, interpretive, and critical perspective, utilizing critical hermeneutics as the central method to unravel the meanings attributed to educational experiences by the involved stakeholders. The methodology encompasses an exhaustive theoretical and philosophical review, complemented by quantitative fieldwork including in-depth interviews, focus groups, and documentary review of educational projects and academic texts, focusing on innovative pedagogical experiences in Ecuador. The goal is to systematize these experiences to construct an epistemological and methodological proposal that integrates local and popular knowledge, promoting collective reflection and dialogue as pillars in knowledge production and the continuous improvement of training processes.

Goal:
To analyze active strategies and critical pedagogy from a transdisciplinary approach, through theoretical and philosophical review and the systematization of experiences, in order to contribute to the improvement of teacher training in Education careers at the Salesian Polytechnic University.

Research lines:
Philosophy of education
