A Proposal for the Sustainability of Young People with Disabilities through the Enhancement of Artisanal Personal Care Products, SMEs, and ICT-Based Support

Project Details

Description

This project focuses on strengthening the production and sale of artisanal cleaning and personal hygiene products (such as disinfectants, bar soap, and shampoo) manufactured by the Mensajeros de la Paz Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting children, adolescents, and youth in vulnerable situations. The initiative aims to address the issues of quality and safety found in conventional cosmetics, which often contain harmful chemical compounds and parabens, as well as microbial contamination, by offering a more innocuous, natural alternative. The main goal is to implement quality regulations to ensure product safety and enhance the competitiveness of these artisanal goods, thereby supporting the foundation's self-sustainability efforts. The methodology employed will be descriptive, utilizing descriptive and inferential statistical procedures to organize, classify, and evaluate the properties and trends of the production and quality assurance process.

Goal:
To enhance the production and commercialization of artisanal products, specifically cleaning and personal hygiene items, by applying quality regulations to improve their competitive capacity in the market.

Research lines:
Inclusive education, policies, culture and practices
