Description
This research project addresses the issue of crimes against sexual integrity in Ecuador, a phenomenon that severely affects public health and social security. Despite existing legal sanctions, rates of sexual violence remain alarming, with a high incidence of abuse within the family unit and a concerning lack of reporting. The study is grounded in legal and forensic psychology to scientifically analyze the behavior of perpetrators.
The methodological approach is mixed, combining bibliographic and documentary analysis with a case study design. Psychological reports and profiles of incarcerated individuals will be examined to identify psychopathologies, cognitive distortions, and alterations in executive functions that predispose individuals to commit these crimes. The research seeks to understand the underlying causes of these unlawful behaviors.
The expected results include the generation of scientific knowledge that serves as a basis for the design of public policies and more effective prevention strategies. By providing technical tools and verifiable evidence, the project aims to strengthen the administration of justice and improve citizen security in the Ecuadorian context.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To investigate the profiles of perpetrators of crimes against sexual integrity in Ecuador to contribute to the formulation of prevention strategies.
