Research Interests

Recent research:
Across publications, the researcher advances understanding of workplace well-being, violence prevention, and inclusive education through robust psychometric validation, cross-cultural application, and large-scale survey analysis in Latin America. The work demonstrates that sexual harassment in higher education adversely affects academic engagement and mental health, with effects varying by gender identity and sexual orientation, and highlights the predominance of verbal/non-verbal harassment. In parallel, the researcher validates and adapts instruments for Ecuadorian and broader Latin American contexts, including the SWING work–home interaction measure and the Job Crafting scale, establishing factorial validity, reliability, and criterion-related validity for use in service and corporate settings. Overall impact: provides empirically grounded, culturally attuned tools and insights to inform policy, program design, and interventions aimed at reducing harassment, supporting employee and student well-being, and enhancing organizational inclusivity and functioning.
