Recent research:
This body of work centers on how advanced control, education technology, and innovative teaching methods can enhance performance in engineering and technology disciplines. The robotics study develops an inverse kinematics-based controller for a car-like mobile robot, addressing steering rotation limits and velocity caps while accommodating reference points inside or outside the robot body; simulations show robust steering and speed tracking. The other set of studies focuses on pandemic-era education: a literature review on online and virtual laboratory teaching, emphasizing problem- and project-based learning, virtual simulations, and pedagogical content knowledge to design practical activities; and an analysis of the flipped classroom during COVID-19, highlighting increased autonomous learning and engagement alongside challenges in technology access and time investment. A MATLAB-based review demonstrates that simulation-assisted teaching of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) can significantly improve conceptual understanding and problem-solving in engineering and science education. Together, these works illustrate a throughline in leveraging simulation, active learning architectures, and technology-enabled strategies to sustain and improve practical outcomes in both robotics control and higher-education contexts during disruptive conditions.
