Recent research:
This body of work investigates how digital social platforms, culturally-informed pedagogy, and supportive, blended educational models shape teaching practice, student engagement, and well-being. Across studies, the researcher examines (1) how social networks enhance teachers’ professional development, communication, and critical information literacy within educational communities; (2) the application of MOSEIB-inspired, culturally rooted approaches to improve mathematics teaching in bilingual and indigenous contexts, with a qualitative design guiding the creation of motivating, context-aware curricula; and (3) the impact of intensive blended modalities on older or working students, highlighting emotional overload, gender differences, and the protective role of extracurricular activities in fostering motivation and academic performance. Collectively, the work emphasizes inclusive pedagogy, education technology integration, and methodological rigor (qualitative methods, interviews, observations, and mixed approaches) to address local needs and promote sustainable educational practices with social-emotional support mechanisms.
