Research Interests

Recent research:
The research focuses on advancing digital inclusion and accessibility within higher education and healthcare through the integration of artificial intelligence and adaptive technologies. A significant portion of the work addresses the development of accessible e-learning environments, utilizing metadata standards and automated tools to support students with disabilities. This includes the creation of repositories for accessible learning objects and the implementation of universal design principles to ensure equitable educational opportunities. Furthermore, the research explores the intersection of technology and pedagogy, proposing STEM-based methodologies for biosignal learning and investigating cognitive modulation through auditory stimulation. In the medical and social domains, the work extends to the design of culturally sensitive instrumentation for physiological signal acquisition, inspired by ancestral knowledge, as well as the development of mobile health applications for early disease diagnosis using AI-driven image processing. By bridging the gap between complex technological frameworks and practical, inclusive applications, the research aims to foster digital literacy, empower diverse communities, and promote sustainable development goals in both academic and clinical settings.
