Research Interests
Recent research:
Across the publications, the researcher advances smart technologies applied to urban and biomedical domains, anchored in a synthesis of smart cities, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing. The work on SmartTech-IC 2024 consolidates the state of the art in Smart Technologies and Smart Systems, highlighting how IoT, edge/fog computing, cyber-physical integration, and emerging technologies (including quantum, metaverse, and novel interfaces) can drive resilient grids, privacy-aware architectures, and scalable urban solutions. In parallel, the biomechanical study of a personalized knee-ankle-foot orthosis (KAFO) for severe anisomelia demonstrates an end-to-end design-to-implementation workflow: from patient-specific biomechanics and finite element analysis to digitized 3D modeling and gait-based validation, illustrating impact on rehabilitation outcomes and gait normalization. Collectively, the research emphasizes practical, patient- and city-scale impact through rigorous modeling, robust validation, and consideration of social-technical contexts, with clear contributions to smart infrastructure, health technologies, and responsible deployment of connected systems.
