Research Interests
This researcher’s work presents a cohesive trajectory across wireless communications, antenna design, and advanced measurement and optimization techniques, complemented by applications in education, psychology, and health. Core contributions include high-efficiency patch and UWB antennas with S11 improvements (up to −54 dB) and multi-band operation, innovative textile and leather-based substrates for wearable and wideband performance, and explorations of reconfigurable and fractal antennas as well as antenna design optimization using nature-inspired algorithms (MPA, SMA, HHO) and self-adaptive differential evolution. The work also covers RF energy harvesting, realistic channel/classification benchmarks, and AR/VR/AI-enabled educational tools to enhance learning in engineering and other domains. Methodologies span EM simulations (HFSS, CST), laser-cut fabrication, experimental validation, PRISMA-guided reviews, and hybrid statistical/forecasting models for energy economics in Ecuador. Impact emphasis lies in enabling efficient, compact, and versatile wireless systems; advancing measurement and validation standards; enabling affordable, accessible education and healthcare technology; and informing policy and planning for energy, environment, and urban resilience.
