Research Interests

Recent research:
Across multiple publications, the researcher advances environmental management and sustainability within higher education, coupled with an analytic lens on educational practices, digital transformation, and social implications of technology. The core focus integrates Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for university campuses, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven planning to reduce environmental footprints (water, energy, waste, air quality) while fostering a culture of sustainability. Parallel strands examine stressors in higher education and the impact of digital transformation on teaching, learning analytics, and student well-being, including the effects of COVID-19, faculty workload, and grading practices. Additional work surveys neurology education in Latin America, explores prevention-oriented pedagogy grounded in Don Bosco’s approach, and analyzes memoralization in teaching, interculturality, and the role of technology in arts, sciences and literature dialogues. Overall, the author combines empirical methods (diagnostics, data mining, case studies) with theoretical reflections on education, ethics, and science–faith intersections, aiming to enhance institutional performance, pedagogical quality, and responsible use of technologies in educational ecosystems. This creates a cohesive impact by linking sustainable institutional practices with innovative teaching and governance models that respond to contemporary Latin American higher education challenges.
