Research Interests

Recent research:
Across the publications, the researcher synthesizes clinical epidemiology, public health, and dental medicine to address how odontogenic processes influence systemic conditions, how antimicrobial resistance shapes dental practice, and how emergency management in dental settings can be optimized. The work highlights (1) the potential link between odontogenic infections and bacterial endocarditis, underscoring the need for multidisciplinary care and antimicrobial prophylaxis in at‑risk patients; (2) the global rise of antimicrobial resistance in dentistry, exploring mechanisms of resistance, the role of biofilms in genetic exchange, and the development of alternative antimicrobial and antibiofilm strategies; and (3) the importance of recognizing and managing dental emergencies through epidemiological awareness to improve timely and effective responses. Methodologically, the author employs narrative reviews and evidence synthesis of diverse sources (PubMed, Web of Science, Medline, Google Scholar, Scopus, etc.) to map trends, mechanisms, and clinical implications. The integrated perspective aims to inform guidelines, antimicrobial stewardship, and contingency planning in dental care, with a focus on prevention, rapid decision making, and multidisciplinary collaboration to mitigate adverse outcomes in patients. The overarching impact is to enhance patient safety, optimize therapeutic strategies in dentistry, and advance public health understanding of infection control and emergency preparedness within dental practice.
